Flat tire professional

So far on this journey we have gotten 11 flats, 8 of them belong to one person. That  person is Tim. Tim does not know what he is doing wrong. He rides the same roads as everyone else on the trip.
Tim even bought special "anti flat" green gunk in his tubes... still got flats. Tim does not give up, he gets tire changed and keeps going. He is actually quite fast at changing a tube now! Its like a nascar pit stop. Moral of the story, even when you protect yourself from the flat tires in life with special green gunk, you will still have bad days. All you can do is keep on keeping on. Fix the problem and get trucking again. Otherwise nothing happens and you just sit in the middle of nowhere on side of the road with roadkill. That is one of the lessons Tim has learned. No matter the size of the hill, constant flat tires, snow, rain, extreme wind gusts, all you can do is keep trucking.
We have had the pleasure of staying with so many people on this trip, super nice, super hospitable and friendly. The amount of hospitality that we have recieved has been astonishing. It is quite amazing how loving and caring strangers are to us. We have met some very gracious and hospitable people  that went above and beyond to help us. It's nice to be able to experience and know that the world is not in fact falling apart and imploding completely.  That there are in fact nice  people. It seems these days that  everything is going wrong.
The experince that I have had out west has been incredible. The massive beauty of the mountains and the plains and everything  in between. The amount of change in landscape and beauty is astounding. One minute we are biking the tallest pass we have ever seen with it still snowing, the next day we are waving hello to Prairie dogs. This is the ultimate way to see God in everthing. Biking makes you get to experience the terrain and all the extremes. Makes you really appreciate majesty of all of the things God has created. You also get a huge sense of gratitude for everything  he has blessed you with. From a pillow and a bed, to the ability to own a home or a car. Biking  makes me both wish I had them, and grateful  I already do. As we keep biking I hope that God continues to show us and keep us humble.
